Rochester Downtown Partnership and Fulton County Chamber of Commerce to Host Second Annual Living Local Fest
Rochester, Ind. – Celebrating the best of Fulton County, the Living Local Fest will provide family friendly events while offering a taste of Fulton County. The Living Local Fest is an updated, modern, family-oriented event that Fulton County offers to all 92 Counties to get a glimpse of the hidden gems located within Fulton County. Don’t miss out on this great new tradition!
The Rochester Downtown Partnership and the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce are set to host the second annual Living Local Fest (#LivingLocalFest2018) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th, 2018. The theme for this year’s event is “Manitou Monster”. The event will include a community parade beginning at 11 a.m. Participants will enter floats that showcase their own unique spin on the myth of Lake Manitou’s Manitou Monster and will be judged to win one of two prizes. The festival portion of the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be held on East 8th Street and Main St. from 9th St. to 8th St. in downtown Rochester. The event will feature several of the area’s artisans, crafters, musicians, adult beverages, food samples for purchase provided by many of our local restaurants and will also feature several kid-friendly activities free of charge. In addition, live music will be provided by The Stampede String Band from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. New this year, after the festival head over to Moose Beach at 3 p.m. for a ski show hosted by the Lake Manitou Association featuring the Lake City Skiers.
Any Fulton County artisan, crafter, or restaurant wishing to participate in the event can pick up an application at 822 Main Street in Rochester or visit the RDP website at www.rdpworks.com. Vendor applications are due by Friday, June 1st. Anyone interested in having a float in the parade can pick up applications at the same address or go online to www.fultoncountychamber.com. Applications for the parade must be submitted by Wednesday, June 27th.
