DESCRIPTION:Featuring Purdue Presenter Kelly Weger\n\n\n\nIn the next 10 years\, half of the work force will be made up of those identified as the millennial generation. Retiring Baby Boomers will be leaving the leadership ranks with more spaces than the Gen-Xers can fill and the work load will fall on the Gen-Y's.\n\n\n\nThis workshop explores the general perceived differences between the employees from the different generations in communication\, workplace improvement\, and employee effectiveness \n\n \n\nObjectives: \n\n- Examine the uniqueness of the four generations in the work place \n\n- Understand preferred leadership style of each generation \n\n- Learn to communicate with employees about performance expectations \n\n- Gain experience giving performance feedback \n\n \n\nOutcomes: \n\n- Understand the characteristics of the Veterans/Traditionalist\, Baby Boomers\, Generation X\, and Generation Y \n\n- Explore employee motivation throughout the generations \n\n- Provide tips on working effectively with Millennials\n\n \n\nWho should Attend:\n\n- Individuals who are in need of new practical ideas for multiple generations in the modern manufacturing environment\n\n- New and experienced managers and leaders who want to develop or improve their skills in managing employees across generations
